”SÄ…decki Bartnik” is a family run business founded in 1973 by our (Kasztelewicz) family. For us beekeeping is more than just an occupation. It is our passion.
The company is located in the heart of picturesque Beskid SÄ…decki Mountains in Stróże, southern Poland. Our bee farm consists ofnearly 1500 hives, most of which are situated in the region of Carpathian Mountains where the environment is still natural and clean. The company was established in 1973, and from the first small scale operation, the company went on to develop rapidly after 1989.

All of “Bartnik” activities center on beekeeping. ”SÄ…decki Bartnik” offers a wide range of honey and other bee products such as propolis, bee pollen, beebread, royal jelly and beeswax. The company also deals in the purchasing, packaging and sale of any and all bee products.

Thanks to its well-equipped laboratory and highly qualified technicians “Bartnik” can boast a world class standard for quality honey. Our company meets the BRC and IFS standards which are confirmed by relevant certificates. We have also successfully accomplished certification process for Kosher and Organic Products. The „Bartnik” brand is a sign of quality not only in the EU and the USA countries but also on the Asian markets.

“Bartnik” provides services to beekeepers all over Poland through the sale of industry standard equipment, regular trainings which are led by specialists within the field of beekeeping and honey production; as well as through the sale of healthy high quality
queens, which are bread and incubated in the newly renovated brood apiary.

BEEKEEPING MUSEUM

Since the turn of the millennium the Beekeeping Museum has been the crown jewel of the company. The museum, which is
open to visitors all year round, exhibits a diverse variety of hives made from logs, figures and box hives, as well as antique beekeeping equipment. It is here that the guests gain insight on the life of a bee with in colony and the apiculture of yesterday and today. School children who visit „SÄ…decki Bartnik” make friends with bees during beekeeping workshops and actively learn about the secret world of bees.

Moreover, for several years now, our company has been publishing books and making films about bees, including handbooks for specialists, books about value of honey in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, albums, reprints and even training films.

HONEY FEST
​
Every year the bee farm organises “Biesiady u Bartnika” (Feasts at Bartnik) on the first weeekend of July, drawing thousands of bee and honey fans. Academic lectures, presentations of the newest achievements, numerous events, fairs and artistic events are meant to popularize both beekeeping and the region.

“SÄ…decki Bartnik” participates actively in prestigious trade and fair events in Poland and abroad, e.g. in MTP - PoznaÅ„, SIAL - Paris, SIAL - Shanghai, Grüne Woche - Berlin, ANUGA – Köln, IFE London.
Since 1995 we have successfully participated in the International Congress of Beekeepers “Apimondia”, winning: golden medal for the album “Hives and apiaries in Poland” and silver medal for mead (2001 Durban in South Africa), golden medal for the stand and bronze medal for the film about bee-keeping (1997 Antwerp), silver medal for mead (2007 Melbourne), golden and silver medal for meads (2009 Montpellier), bronze medal for mead (2011 Buenos Aires), bronze medal for stand and bronze medal for album „No fears of bees” (2013 Kiev) .

CERTIFICATIONS AND RECEIVED PRIZES

The dynamic development of the company brought the title „Agro-businessman of 1998” to the owner of the business. In 2005 our company received the Economic Price of the Pesident of Poland for the best farming enterprise, and in 2006 we were honoured by the Polish Promotional Programme Foundation “Poland Now”.
